This is a family friendly session that can take place in your home or a location of your choice. With either a more lifestyle approach or staged, I will offer gentle guidance towards the right light and or positions. Preferably, sessions are scheduled between 30-36 weeks. I offer a variety of different packages you can choose from to see what right fits you and your family!

Birth
On-call to document your birth story starting at 37 weeks. Arrival to your birth story at active labor and documentation until 2-3 hours after birth. 5-10 sneak peek images within 24 hours of birth. There is also a Golden Hour option, this is coverage soon after baby is born while sweet details have not faded! Perfect for newborn exams, meeting siblings or the morning after family cuddles. The Golden Hour option is 2 hours and roughly 40-50 images. Both of these are totally based off of how you feel and what your comfortable with and can be changed and rearranged to your personal preferances!

Fresh 48
These On-call sessions take place at your location of birth, within 48 hours of your baby's birth (also available for home births). Sessions take about 1 hour and are great for capturing the first or many family photos and or siblings/family meeting baby.

What is birth photography?
Birth photography is about documenting the arrival of your baby, wether this is at home, in hospital or a birthing center. My focus is on the raw connections between partners and the love filled intimacy in the room.
Why should I hire you when I can take a couple photos with my iPhone?
As a professional photographer, I have spent many years perfecting my skills. My gear can handle extreme low light, awful hospital lighting and I know how to change my settings quickly when a situation changes. Having a child of my own I know the birthing process and how to respect your sacred birth space as I would want the same thing in that situation! I know where to be and when. I document how your entire story unfolds and include beautiful images of everyone involved in your birth story.
When do you come during labor? And how long do you stay after labor?
I ask you to call me first when you're in early labor so that I can get all my gear together and we will keep communicating, keeping me updated into active labor. Typically I come to you when you can no longer speak through contractions and the intensity has picked up to where you have to focus on the contractions solely. We can talk more about what this will all look like later on. ? I need about two hours to get my son taken care of and me to you safely. After the first notification I am ready for when your birth picks up into active labor. This is something we can determine together or with the help of your birth workers!
And then I pack up after your baby has had their newborn exam and have had some sweet skin to skin time during golden hour!
What do you do in the event that labor lasts for a long time?
In the event that you are laboring longer, I will be there! I can wait in the waiting room, or my car if needed! I also have a backup birth photographer that I can call in if absolutely need be for any reason but of course that would be the last resort!
What happens if I have an unexpected cesarean?
You call me! I am on call for you from 37 weeks and sometimes the unexpected can arise. Sometimes I will not be aloud in the OR, but I will be there to document the before and after.
What happens if you miss the birth and what is the process if this happens?
Birth is on an unexpected timeline! if this happens where I miss the birth I will come as soon as I can and will hang out with you and your family for a few hours to get all those sweet moments of the golden hour!

The moment I found out I was pregnant with my son August my world changed. I knew I never wanted to forget a single moment of pregnancy, birth or the hospital stay. Just to soak it all up and what I captured along the way I will never forget! Capturing that moment giving birth after working so hard with my partner and my doula to labor my precious little babe hearthside and into my arms. Such a surreal experience! That is one of the many reasons why I became a photographer for these moments of life!
